The only GOP candidates I'd like to see in the White House less than McCain are Tommy Thompson and Sam Brownback, neither of which have a chance of winning anyway thankfully. There was a time when McCain was highly regarded. I know many who supported McCain over Bush in 2000. However, McCain is wrong on immigration, tax cuts, and campaign finance, as well as his obsession with government regulation of organized sports. For all of the above stated reasons, we as a nation can not afford to have John McCain as President.

Mitt and Rudy backing out of the youtube debate is the stupidest move ever...and some wonder why Republican's are viewed as disonnected from youth.

Ron Paul seems like an interesting alternative but I don't think he's going to make it to the New Jersey primaries..it doesnt matter really Rudy will win the state and it wont have an effect for the national primary candidate winner.

I'm still supporting the guy hated by conservatives and liberals alike that has no organization anymore and is sinking fast. Yeah McCain! ha.

I can't believe that Huckabee is trying to look strong on the border issue. He railed against our (AR) legislators when they proposed ending benefits to illegal immigrants and said he "drank a different kind of Jesus juice" than they did. He will not address the illegal immigration issue any better as the President of the United States.

Two points:

1) The IRS must be abolished as soon as possible and the Fair Tax instated...that would be a great day for freedom in America.

2) I think Ron Paul is having a much gretaer impact on the GOP race than the mainstream media wants to admit. It's just too bad they don't throw him more questions on domestic policies like taxes, education, health care, property rights, privacy, and the drug war, where his positions are 100% on the money - get the government out of the way!

The odious clan Gemayel is rejected by the people again! There are many thing this DNA curse of the Levant has been tied to over the generations...fair elections is not one of them! They generally do beter in elections when they are under the cover of foreign tanks, with coercion and violence being their traditional clannish weapons of choice. Their manipulation of the people, and rejection of history in place of a severe dogma of tribalism has exacted an ugly cost upon the people over the years. The tragedy of his son's assasination was an ignominious cause celebre for a Father's vain attempt for political power.
Perhaps, with defeat of Phalangist elements, unity can finally supersede division and violence of all kinds.
